Fredd Young, Former All-Pro Linebacker, Passes Away at 64

Fredd Young, a notable figure in Seattle Seahawks history, has passed away at the age of 64. He was recognized as one of the top 50 players in the franchise's history.

Young was selected by the Seahawks as the 76th overall pick in the 1984 NFL Draft after playing college football at New Mexico State. He earned Pro Bowl selections from 1984 to 1987 and was named an AP first-team All-Pro in his final season with the team.

In his rookie year, Young made history as the first AFC player to be selected for the Pro Bowl as a special-teams player who was not a return specialist. In 1988, he was traded to the Indianapolis Colts following a contract dispute with the Seahawks, where he played for three seasons. Over his career, Young participated in 101 regular-season games, starting in 79 of them.
