Freddie Freeman Avoids Serious Injury After Dugout Fall
Freddie Freeman seems to have avoided a major injury after a fall during the Los Angeles Dodgers' 4-2 win over the Kansas City Royals on Wednesday night.
The incident occurred in the eighth inning when Freeman, while chasing a foul ball, fell into the visitors' dugout after stepping onto the dugout stairs. He remained on the ground for a short time as the Dodgers' training staff attended to him but managed to return to first base for the remainder of the inning.
Although Freeman experienced soreness in his body, particularly in his left shoulder and hand, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts indicated that the team does not believe he sustained a significant injury. Freeman is currently listed as day-to-day as the team assesses his recovery ahead of their upcoming series against the Milwaukee Brewers.
