Freddie Slater to Debut in F1 with Audi at Two Grands Prix
Freddie Slater is set to make his Formula 1 weekend debut with Audi, participating in the FP1 sessions at the Mexico City and São Paulo Grands Prix.
Earlier this year, Slater became the first driver to join the Audi Driver Development Programme, which aims to support his rise through the junior ranks. The 18-year-old recently concluded a successful rookie season in Formula 3, finishing as the runner-up in the championship with Trident Motorsport, where he achieved eight podiums, three pole positions, and one Feature Race win.
Slater will advance to Formula 2 with Invicta Racing in 2027, and these FP1 sessions will provide him with essential experience in a Formula 1 environment. The team's commitment to nurturing young talent is evident, as they aim to offer valuable opportunities for drivers to gain experience in line with FIA regulations.
