Fremantle AFL Draft Strategy: Key Picks and Targets

Fremantle is strategizing for the upcoming AFL draft, aiming to strengthen their roster with their Pick 19. The Dockers are looking to address specific needs despite having a strong list.

The team has identified several positions to target, including a halfback flanker to complement Jordan Clark and Judd McVee, a small forward to support Isaiah Dudley, and a key defender to bolster their defense, especially with captain Alex Pearce's injury history.

Potential draft targets include Jake Soutar, a mature-age defender, and Jake Eime, a quick ball user from South Australia. George Dimer, noted as the best small forward in this draft class, is also expected to be available at Pick 19. Additionally, the Dockers may consider Finlay Yeo from their Next Generation Academy as a late-round option.
