From NFL Star to Sweet Potato Farmer: Jason Brown's Journey

Jason Brown, who played seven seasons in the NFL and became the highest-paid center in 2009, has transitioned to farming in Louisburg, North Carolina. After reflecting on his life at 27, he decided to honor his late brother's legacy of service by pursuing a more meaningful path.

Following his release from the St. Louis Rams in 2012, Brown embraced farming, starting from scratch on a 1,000-acre property. He dedicated himself to learning the trade through online resources and achieved a successful yield of sweet potatoes in his first year.

Brown's farm has since produced over two million pounds of food, including a variety of vegetables and fruits. He also converted a barn into a wedding venue and has found fulfillment in teaching his children the values of teamwork and responsibility, paralleling his experiences in football.
