Fulham Negotiates Transfer for Defender Andrei Ratiu
Fulham is currently engaged in negotiations to sign Andrei Ratiu, a 28-year-old defender from Rayo Vallecano. The Romanian player is reportedly open to joining the team at Craven Cottage.
Ratiu, who has played 104 matches for Rayo Vallecano, primarily operates as a right-back but can also fill other defensive roles. He has spent most of his career in Spain, having joined Villarreal's academy and later playing for Huesca before making his La Liga debut with Rayo Vallecano in 2023.
Fulham's new manager, Alvaro Arbeloa, is looking to bolster his squad ahead of the transfer deadline. The club has already secured several signings, including striker Gonzalo Garcia and midfielder Shea Charles, while also making Jonah Kusi-Asare's loan from Bayern Munich permanent. Fulham recently faced a 3-2 defeat against Chelsea in their Premier League opener but bounced back with a 3-0 victory over AFC Wimbledon in the Carabao Cup.
