Gable Steveson Set to Fight Sean Sharaf at UFC 331
Gable Steveson, an Olympic gold medalist, is scheduled to fight Sean Sharaf at UFC 331 in Los Angeles next month, as announced by the promotion.
Steveson previously achieved a first-round knockout against Elisha Ellison at UFC 329 earlier this summer. UFC CEO Dana White has suggested that Steveson could be fast-tracked into the heavyweight division's top 15, with notable fighters like Derrick Lewis and Josh Hokit mentioned as potential future opponents.
Sharaf, who has lost both of his UFC fights by second-round knockout, previously won his first four professional bouts by knockout. He was set to compete against Tai Tuivasa but had to withdraw due to a nasal fracture. The upcoming match is expected to present a comparable challenge for Steveson as his last opponent.
