Gabriel Martinelli Joins Al-Hilal in Record $81 Million Transfer from Arsenal
Gabriel Martinelli has officially moved from Arsenal to Al-Hilal in a record transfer deal worth $81 million. This transaction represents Arsenal's highest sale ever, surpassing the previous record set by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's transfer to Liverpool.
The agreement includes guaranteed funds and a clause for Arsenal to receive a portion of any future transfer fees. Martinelli, who was previously signed for just $6 million from Brazil, is expected to earn over $23 million annually at Al-Hilal, a substantial increase from his Arsenal salary.
Despite initial intentions to remain at Arsenal, Martinelli's limited playing time led him to reconsider his position. Al-Hilal's acquisition of the Brazilian international adds to their strategy of enhancing their squad with Premier League talent, following previous signings from the league this summer.
