Geelong Delists Mitch Knevitt, Open to Re-Drafting
Geelong has made a final adjustment to its 2027 AFL list by delisting midfielder Mitch Knevitt, while leaving the door open for his potential re-drafting in the upcoming National Draft or Rookie Draft.
Knevitt, who was selected with Pick 25 in 2021, faced challenges in securing a spot in the senior team, participating in only eight matches during the 2023 season. Despite his limited appearances, he was recognized as one of the top players in the VFL this year.
In addition to Knevitt, the club has also delisted Tyson Stengle, Jed Bews, George Stevens, and Keighton Matofai-Forbes. The team saw the retirement of premiership players Rhys Stanley and Jake Kolodjashnij, while Jack Bowes was traded to Essendon. Geelong has strengthened its roster by acquiring Jordan Ridley and welcoming Toby Greene through free agency.
