Geelong Player Expresses Disappointment Over Secret Concussion Deal

The AFL and AFL Players' Association (AFLPA) issued a joint statement regarding the controversial deal, confirming that the waiver in the player's contract has been removed. They clarified that the player had acknowledged the risks but that the waiver was not approved by the AFL or AFLPA. Currently, Geelong is not facing any fines or sanctions from the league.
