Geelong's Gryan Miers Will Not Be Traded to Essendon

Gryan Miers will continue playing for Geelong next season, as his manager Liam Pickering stated that the club will not trade him to Essendon unless they receive a draft pick in the 20s.

Essendon holds several draft picks, including 1, 17, 21, 27, and 80, but they are not willing to part with these selections to acquire Miers. Pickering noted that discussions took place recently, and Miers, currently overseas, has expressed a desire to stay with Geelong.

Additionally, Essendon's interest in Brisbane player Keidean Coleman, who is under contract until 2027, complicates their pursuit of Miers. Brisbane is expected to seek Essendon's Pick 17 to enhance their draft assets.
