George Kittle Approaches Return to Practice After Achilles Injury
George Kittle, the tight end for the San Francisco 49ers, is nearing a return to practice following his Achilles tendon injury sustained during the playoffs. He expressed optimism about being ready for the season opener against the Los Angeles Rams on September 10 in Australia.
Kittle is confident he will be activated from the physically unable to perform list before the start of the season, which would allow him to participate in the first four games. He mentioned that he is currently engaging in high-intensity training and is eager to resume full practice soon.
The injury occurred on January 11 during a wild-card playoff game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Kittle's surgeon indicated that he could be ready for the 2026 season opener, which has motivated him throughout his rehabilitation process.
