Despite some concerns regarding his recovery from a torn Achilles, head coach Kyle Shanahan clarified that comments made in a previous press conference about Kittle taking a step back were not indicative of any change in his recovery timeline.

The 49ers will continue practicing for the next three days before heading to Melbourne, where they will finalize their preparations for the season opener against the Rams. The team is also expecting defensive end Nick Bosa to join practice this week.
