George Russell secured the fastest time in Singapore's only practice session, clocking in at 1:32.274 with the older version of the Mercedes W17. He finished 0.198 seconds ahead of Charles Leclerc, with Lando Norris taking third place for McLaren at 1:32.547.

Lewis Hamilton and Oscar Piastri followed closely, recording times of 1:32.773 and 1:32.838, respectively. Notably, Max Verstappen placed sixth with a time of 1:33.006, having used medium tires, indicating a potentially stronger pace than his position suggested.

The session was characterized by high track temperatures, peaking at 52 degrees Celsius, and a dry environment with only a five percent chance of rain. The only significant interruption occurred when Nico Hulkenberg's Audi stopped on the main straight due to a gearbox issue, prompting a brief Virtual Safety Car deployment.
