George Russell Wins Dutch GP Sprint Race; Kimi Antonelli Finishes Fourth
George Russell triumphed in the Dutch Grand Prix sprint race held at Zandvoort, marking his third Saturday win of the 2026 Formula 1 season. Starting from pole position, Russell maintained his lead throughout the race, finishing 1.4 seconds ahead of Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, who secured second place.
McLaren's Lando Norris completed the podium in third, while Antonelli, the championship leader and Russell's teammate, finished fourth after starting from fifth on the grid. Antonelli had faced challenges due to floor damage from a previous incident, which affected his performance during the race.
The race featured a relatively static opening, with drivers preserving their tires on the tight circuit. However, as the race progressed, Russell increased his lead, while Leclerc managed to overtake Norris for second place on lap 18. Antonelli applied pressure but could not advance past Norris, finishing just 0.4 seconds behind.
