Georgia Taylor-Brown Claims Victory at World Triathlon Series in Czech Republic

Georgia Taylor-Brown of Great Britain triumphed in the women's event of the World Triathlon Championship Series held in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic.

The 32-year-old athlete completed the challenging course, which included a 1.5km swim, a 40km bike ride, and a 10km run, in a total time of two hours, three minutes, and five seconds, finishing 36 seconds ahead of Taylor Spivey from the United States. Germany's Lisa Tertsch secured third place, finishing one minute and 28 seconds behind Taylor-Brown.

This victory marked Taylor-Brown's best performance of the WCTS season and her first win on the tour since 2023. She had previously focused on longer distances this season, achieving a notable win on the T100 tour in Spain in May. Meanwhile, compatriot Beth Potter, who was second in the overall standings, finished sixth, while other British competitors included Kate Waugh in 10th and Sian Rainsley in 14th. The results left Potter unable to take advantage of the absence of WCTS leader Cassandra Beaugrand from France, who did not compete.
