Gianni Infantino Denies Allegations of Uefa Payment to Alleged Lover

Gianni Infantino, the president of Fifa, has rejected allegations that Uefa provided a severance payment to a woman he allegedly had an affair with while serving as general secretary. This claim emerged from a Daily Telegraph investigation.

Uefa confirmed that a payment was made to the individual, which covered her fees for an MBA course. However, Infantino's spokesman stated that the allegations are categorically untrue and that no complaints regarding his behavior have ever been raised by employees at either Uefa or Fifa.

The allegations come at a challenging time for Infantino, who is facing calls for his resignation over controversial plans to sell stakes in the World Cup. Despite these pressures, he received support from senior executives during a recent meeting in Morocco.
