Giants and Dolphins Experience Tensions During Joint Practice
During a joint practice on Thursday, tensions rose between the Miami Dolphins and New York Giants, resulting in several altercations throughout the session.
The first incident occurred during one-on-one drills when Giants player Abdul Carter punched Dolphins offensive tackle Patrick Paul after a play. This was followed by another confrontation in the 11-on-11 segment, where Dolphins right tackle Austin Jackson and Giants pass rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux clashed, leading to Jackson being pushed to the ground.
In addition to the skirmishes, the Giants' defense showcased its strength, with Brian Burns recording multiple would-be sacks. Giants rookie receiver Malachi Fields also demonstrated promising chemistry with quarterback Jaxson Dart. The teams are set to face each other again on Saturday for a preseason game. Notably, Giants receiver Malik Nabers did not participate due to recovery from an ACL injury, while first-round pick Francis Mauigoa left practice with a minor issue.
