Giants Call Up Yunior Marte for MLB Debut

The San Francisco Giants have announced the promotion of right-hander Yunior Marte from Double-A Richmond, where he will make his major league debut on Saturday during a doubleheader against the Diamondbacks.

To accommodate Marte's addition to the roster, the Giants have optioned left-handed pitcher Seth Lonsway to Triple-A Sacramento and moved infielder/outfielder Casey Schmitt to the 60-day injured list due to a torn left meniscus.
