Giants Cornerback Dru Phillips to Miss Time Due to Knee Sprain

The New York Giants will be without cornerback Dru Phillips for an unspecified period due to a knee sprain. Phillips did not participate in practice on Thursday, and head coach John Harbaugh confirmed that he will be missing additional time.

Phillips, a third-round pick in the 2024 draft, has appeared in 31 games over his first two seasons, including all 17 games last year, where he recorded 66 tackles, two interceptions, and a fumble recovery while primarily playing as a nickel corner.

In Phillips' absence, teammates Ar’Darius Washington and Nic Jones are anticipated to take on increased responsibilities in the secondary as the Giants prepare for their first preseason game against the Vikings on August 15.
