Giants Defeat Cowboys 28-20 in John Harbaugh's Coaching Debut

In his debut as head coach of the New York Giants, John Harbaugh led the team to a 28-20 victory against the Dallas Cowboys in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The game marked the start of a new era for the Giants, with Jaxson Dart connecting with Isaiah Likely for two touchdowns and Devin Singletary adding another.

Dart showcased his skills by completing 23 of 29 passes for 230 yards and rushing for 54 yards. Likely, who followed Harbaugh from Baltimore, caught all eight of his targets for 78 yards. Cam Skattebo, returning from injury, contributed with a rushing touchdown and 81 yards on 18 carries.

Despite Dak Prescott's solid performance for the Cowboys, including two touchdown passes, the team struggled with penalties and discipline, which coach Brian Schottenheimer acknowledged. The Giants honored the victims of 9/11 in a pregame ceremony, with Harbaugh wearing hats representing both the NYPD and FDNY during the game.
