Giants Promote Malik Harrison to Active Roster

The New York Giants have officially signed linebacker Malik Harrison to their 53-man roster, making a permanent move after elevating him from the practice squad three times in the first five weeks of the season.

Harrison contributed two tackles in the season opener against the Colts and recovered a fumble during the team's Week 3 victory over the Titans. He was a third-round pick in 2020 and has played 76 games with the Ravens and 11 games with the Steelers.

Linebacker Dawuane Smoot has taken Harrison's previous spot on the practice squad after working out with the Giants on Monday. Smoot has recorded 27 sacks over 127 career games.
