Giants Sign Dalen Cambre from Practice Squad Amid Malik Nabers' Uncertainty
The New York Giants have signed wide receiver Dalen Cambre from their practice squad ahead of their season opener against the Dallas Cowboys. This move comes as the team is uncertain about the availability of star receiver Malik Nabers, who is recovering from a knee injury sustained last season.
In addition to Cambre's promotion to the 53-man roster, the Giants have also elevated Braxton Berrios for the upcoming game. This decision follows the recent release of Darius Slayton, who was entering his eighth season with the team. Cambre, who went undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft, has been with the Giants since last year, starting on the practice squad before being promoted to the active roster in December 2025.
During training camp, Cambre emphasized the importance of treating every practice as an opportunity to impress the coaching staff. His consistent performance has led to his current promotion, while Berrios is expected to return to the practice squad after Week 1.
