Giants Suspend Harrison Bader's Pay Following Scooter Accident

Harrison Bader, the center fielder for the Giants, has been on the injured list since May 30 due to plantar fasciitis in his left foot. Recently, he sustained further injury in a scooter accident, prompting the team to announce a temporary suspension of his pay as they investigate the incident.

The accident reportedly occurred just before 2 a.m. on July 26, when Bader's scooter collided with a San Francisco Fire Department fire engine, resulting in the vehicle rolling over his foot. A person involved was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the San Francisco Police Department.

Bader's performance this season includes 30 games with a batting average of .170, five home runs, and 14 RBIs. He is currently in the first year of a two-year, $20.5 million contract.
