In San Francisco, the Golden State Valkyries secured a playoff spot by defeating the Dallas Wings 78-70 on Monday night, marking their sixth straight victory. Gabby Williams led the team with 23 points and seven rebounds, while Veronica Burton contributed 16 points and five assists.

With this win, Golden State improved its record to 25-9, surpassing last season's total by two victories. The team previously made history as the first expansion franchise to reach the playoffs in its inaugural season in 2025. They had a narrow loss to the Minnesota Lynx in their first playoff game.

In the game, Kiah Stokes returned from concussion protocol, playing 23 minutes. The Valkyries rallied after a slow start, ending the first half with an 11-0 run to lead 44-28. Tiffany Hayes contributed with a buzzer-beating three-pointer at the end of the first quarter. The Wings, who have struggled recently, saw Paige Bueckers score 21 points in a losing effort.
