Good Good Golf Ends Sponsorship with Callaway and PGA Tour Event
Good Good Golf has terminated its partnership with Callaway and will not serve as the title sponsor for an upcoming PGA Tour event in November. This decision follows significant backlash over a video promoting a new Callaway driver, which depicted a man pushing a woman to the ground.
The video, intended as a parody of the film Obsession, was posted on August 20 but was quickly deleted due to widespread criticism. Despite apologies from both Good Good and Callaway, the negative response persisted, leading to the loss of sponsorships and a postponement of a related reality show.
The PGA Tour confirmed Good Good's withdrawal from the November 12-15 tournament in Austin, Texas, while stating that the event will still proceed. Callaway has also ended its three-year sponsorship with Good Good and committed to supporting organizations that work to prevent violence against women.
