Grace Kim Ties for Second at LPGA Portland Classic After Strong Opening Round

Grace Kim, an Australian golfer, delivered an impressive performance in the opening round of the LPGA Tour's Portland Classic, scoring a 6-under 66. This score places her in a tie for second, just one stroke behind Colombian leader Mariel Galdiano.

During her round, Kim achieved seven birdies and an eagle, needing only 24 putts, the fewest among all players. She began her round on the 10th hole and quickly gained momentum with three consecutive birdies.

Robyn Choi, another Australian golfer, is tied for ninth after finishing with a score of 67, while Steph Kyriacou shot an even par 72 and will need to improve in the second round to avoid missing the cut. Galdiano's strong start included nine birdies, contributing to her lead.
