Great Britain emerged as the leader in the medals table at the European Aquatics Championships held in Paris, with Keanna MacInnes contributing significantly by winning two gold medals on the final day of competition.
MacInnes achieved a Scottish record in the 200m butterfly, finishing in 2 minutes 5.90 seconds, and played a key role in the women's 4×100m medley relay, where the team set a championship record of 3 minutes 53.50 seconds. Angharad Evans also excelled, adding to her individual gold in the 100m breaststroke with the fastest relay breaststroke leg.
Overall, Great Britain concluded the championships with 14 golds, surpassing Italy, which secured 13 golds. The British team also earned four silvers and eight bronzes, with a notable performance in swimming events, where they won eight golds, two silvers, and four bronzes.
