Gresini Racing Confident About 2027 MotoGP Regulations Impact on Satellite Teams
Gresini Racing has expressed confidence that the competitive landscape in MotoGP will remain largely unchanged for satellite teams when the new 850cc regulations take effect in 2027.
The upcoming technical overhaul includes reduced engine capacity, stricter aerodynamic limits, and the prohibition of ride-height devices, alongside a switch from Michelin to Pirelli tyres. Manufacturers have already begun testing their new bikes, with some starting as early as December.
Despite the challenges posed by these changes, Gresini's sporting director, Michele Masini, believes that satellite teams could leverage their understanding of the new Pirelli tyres to gain an advantage. He emphasized that the level of support from Ducati will remain consistent, and the team is optimistic about the opportunities presented by the regulatory shift.
