Griffin Colapinto Shines at Lowers During Hurricane Genevieve
Griffin Colapinto demonstrated his surfing prowess at Lowers last week as Hurricane Genevieve generated significant swells along the West Coast. The hurricane, which originated off the coast of Africa and reached category five status, impacted beaches in Baja California and Southern California.
Footage from the surfing YouTube channel SLAWTV, filmed by John Cocozza, captured Colapinto and other professional surfers enjoying the waves at Lowers. On the first day of the swell, the lineup was notably uncrowded, with only about 25 surfers present. Colapinto was joined by his father Mitch, and they had an impressive session alongside other surfers such as Victor Bernardo, Rickson Falcao, Jake Davis, and shaper Matt Biolos.
