Guenther Steiner Discusses Lewis Hamilton's Title Chances
Guenther Steiner, the former Haas team principal, has expressed that Lewis Hamilton still possesses a small opportunity to win a record-breaking eighth Formula 1 championship in 2026, provided Ferrari fully supports him.
During an appearance on The Red Flags Podcast, Steiner emphasized that Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur may need to enforce team orders favoring Hamilton over Charles Leclerc, as Hamilton has been performing better this season. He noted that for Hamilton to secure the title, Kimi Antonelli must make mistakes, as Antonelli currently leads the championship.
Steiner pointed out that Hamilton's chances hinge on both Ferrari's commitment to him and the performance of Antonelli and Mercedes in the latter part of the season. He remarked that if Ferrari is serious about winning, they should prioritize Hamilton's support.
