Guenther Steiner Suggests Mercedes No Longer Needs Max Verstappen

Guenther Steiner, the former Haas Formula 1 team principal, has stated that Mercedes may no longer require Max Verstappen, as they appear to have identified a promising talent in Kimi Antonelli.

Steiner's comments come amid ongoing speculation about Verstappen's future, particularly as Red Bull faces challenges in maintaining its competitive edge against Mercedes. He noted that while Verstappen has been linked to both Mercedes and McLaren, the latter may not be a significant upgrade from Red Bull.

Steiner emphasized that Red Bull still holds advantages, such as having its own power unit, which could influence Verstappen's decision if he considers leaving. He concluded that while McLaren has improved, it remains uncertain if a move there would be feasible for Verstappen.
