Haas Drivers Face Challenges in United States Grand Prix Qualifying
In the qualifying session for the United States Grand Prix, TGR Haas F1 Team drivers Ollie Bearman and Esteban Ocon secured 16th and 17th positions respectively for the race, which is part of the 2026 FIA Formula 1 World Championship.
Bearman will start from 13th place on Sunday due to grid penalties affecting other drivers, while Ocon will begin in 15th. During Q1, Bearman advanced to Q2, but Ocon was unable to progress, finishing with a best lap of 1:36.531. Bearman recorded a lap of 1:36.175, but a subsequent lap time of 1:35.592 was disqualified due to track limits, leaving him with a final Q2 time of 1:36.031.
Team Principal Ayao Komatsu expressed disappointment with the qualifying results, particularly regarding Bearman's track limits violation. He noted that while they had made progress with the car setup, starting positions were challenging. Komatsu emphasized the need for a strong focus on car balance and operational efficiency for the race.
