Haas Factory Team Expands with Dean Thompson for 2027 NASCAR Season

The Haas Factory Team is set to expand its presence in the 2027 NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series by adding a third car, which will be driven by Dean Thompson. Currently, the team fields two cars, the No. 00 with Sheldon Creed and the No. 41 with Sam Mayer.

Thompson, who is 24 years old, will receive sponsorship from Thompson Pipe Group and MCM Transportation. Specific details regarding the car number and crew chief will be revealed later. This agreement is a multi-year deal.

Thompson is in his second full-time season in the NASCAR O'Reilly series with Sam Hunt Racing, where he has achieved one top five and ten top tens in 57 career starts. He has also competed in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, accumulating 70 starts with two top fives and eleven top tens. The Haas Factory Team has previously secured three NASCAR O'Reilly wins since separating from Stewart-Haas Racing before the 2025 season.
