Haas Team Seeks New Sponsorship to Boost 2027 F1 Budget
Haas team principal Ayao Komatsu has expressed optimism regarding ongoing discussions for new sponsorships aimed at increasing the team's budget for the 2027 Formula 1 season.
The team, which employs over 400 staff, is currently operating below the budget cap despite having a title sponsorship deal with Toyota's Gazoo Racing. Komatsu noted that the team is exploring additional sponsorship opportunities, including potential talks with BWT, which is set to leave Alpine for a new partnership.
During the recent Madring weekend, Komatsu indicated that negotiations with various prospective partners are progressing well, aiming to bring the budget closer to the $215 million cap. He emphasized the importance of performance in selecting future drivers, stating that the team would prioritize speed over commercial affiliations when finalizing its lineup.
