Haeran Ryu Takes Lead at AIG Women's Open

Haeran Ryu leads the AIG Women's Open after a strong finish in the second round, aiming for her third major title this year.

<p>Haeran Ryu from South Korea finished the second round of the AIG Women's Open at Royal Lytham & St Annes as the leader, bouncing back from a challenging start. Ryu, who is seeking to become the fifth woman to win three majors in a single year, ended the round at seven under par, one shot ahead of Japan's Shiho Kuwaki.</p><p>Despite starting the day three over par after five holes, Ryu recovered with five birdies, concluding the round with a birdie on the 18th hole. Earlier this month, she secured her second major title at the Evian Championship, showcasing her strong performance in recent tournaments.</p><p>Kuwaki, who was two shots behind after the first round, managed to card a one-under-par round, while Thailand's Jeeno Thitikul, who had an impressive opening round, struggled with a two-over-par score in the second round. Other notable players include Yealimi Noh and Lottie Woad, both of whom remain in contention for the title.</p>
