Halewood Apollo FC Forms Partnership with AC Milan
Halewood Apollo FC, a non-league football club from Liverpool, has formed a partnership with Italian club AC Milan after reaching out about their community initiatives. The club, which recently joined the First Division North West Counties League, was established 12 years ago by Joseph Stocks and friends who wanted to revive their passion for football.
The partnership emerged when Stocks, who also runs a community interest company called Apollo Active, contacted AC Milan regarding their outreach efforts with local youth. Milan representatives were impressed by the club's work and agreed to collaborate, leading to plans for Milan academy-style training camps for local children.
Later this month, AC Milan officials will visit Halewood Apollo's facilities, and the club has also received an invitation to train at Milan's facilities and attend matches at the San Siro. Halewood Apollo FC has grown significantly since its inception, now boasting over 50 teams and aiming to continue its ascent through the football ranks.
