Hampshire Withdraws Scott Kuggeleijn from County Championship Matches
Hampshire Cricket has confirmed that Scott Kuggeleijn, the New Zealand all-rounder, will not play in the club's remaining County Championship matches. This decision comes after the club received feedback from staff and supporters.
Kuggeleijn was initially named in the squad for a match against Warwickshire, but just before the game started, the club announced he would not take part in any of the final four fixtures of the season. The 34-year-old player had previously faced a rape charge in 2015, but he was acquitted in 2017 after a retrial.
Hampshire expressed appreciation for the input from their fanbase and emphasized their commitment to supporting the team during the crucial final matches. Currently, the team is at the bottom of Division One in the County Championships, with only two wins this season.
