Hannah French Honors Medical Team After Injury Recovery Ahead of World Cup

Hannah French, a key player for England, has acknowledged the team's medical staff after successfully recovering from an injury in time to compete in her third women's Hockey World Cup, scheduled to take place in Belgium and the Netherlands later this month.

The 31-year-old athlete suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) last November and was initially expected to miss the tournament. However, through rigorous rehabilitation, she has secured a spot in David Ralph's 20-woman squad.

French, who previously won gold at the Commonwealth Games in 2022 and has represented Great Britain at two Olympic Games, emphasized the importance of support during her recovery. England, currently ranked seventh in the world, will face China, India, and South Africa in the tournament.
