Happy Valley Casino Sees Lowest Revenue Since Opening
Happy Valley Casino, located at the Nittany Mall, reported its lowest monthly gaming revenue since it opened in April, with approximately $2.04 million generated in September, as per the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
This revenue marks the lowest among Pennsylvania's 18 casinos, despite the influx of visitors due to three Penn State home football games. The casino's revenue included $1,618,690 from slot machines and $423,434 from table games, reflecting a decline from August's revenue of $2,256,552 and a significant drop from May's $3,613,600.
While slot machine revenue decreased, table games saw a slight increase from $405,835 to $423,434. Happy Valley Casino's performance lagged behind other Category 4 casinos in Pennsylvania, with Parx Casino Shippensburg and Hollywood Casino York reporting revenues of approximately $3.54 million and $10.59 million, respectively. Despite the casino's decline, Pennsylvania's overall gaming industry reported growth, with statewide revenue reaching about $555 million in September.
