Harriet Dart Reaches First WTA Tour Final at Guangzhou Open

Harriet Dart advanced to her first WTA Tour singles final by defeating Chinese wildcard Sun Xinran in a three-set match at the Guangzhou Open.

The match lasted nearly two and a half hours, with Dart overcoming a challenging start. After losing the first set 5-7, she saved multiple match points in the second set, ultimately winning it 7-6 (7-1) and dominating the final set 6-0.

Dart, who has previously reached six WTA Tour doubles finals, will face either fourth seed Lilli Tagger or Kaitlin Quevedo in the final. A victory would secure her return to the top 100 in the WTA rankings, having already climbed to 101st place.
