Hawthorn and Western Bulldogs Complete Pick Swap

Hawthorn has finalized a pick swap with Western Bulldogs, receiving a future third-round selection tied to Gold Coast in exchange for their 2028 third-round pick. The agreement was completed late on Friday.

This move concludes a productive week for Hawthorn, which also added players Zach Merrett and Ben King while retaining their first-round picks for 2027 and 2028. The club is also considering draft capital for Josh Goater, who has requested a trade.

As part of their future planning, Hawthorn is eyeing club-tied prospects in upcoming drafts, including top 10 talents Zane Adams and Hudson Brown. Meanwhile, Western Bulldogs are looking to trade back into this year's National Draft, currently holding only Pick 53, with an interest in Next Generation Academy player Khaled El Souki.
