Haynes King Leads Panthers to Last-Minute Victory in Hall of Fame Game

In a dramatic finish to the Hall of Fame Game, Haynes King guided the Carolina Panthers to a 33-30 victory over the Arizona Cardinals. King, who was not drafted despite being the ACC Player of the Year last season, was signed by the Panthers as a free agent and stepped in as quarterback with 9:38 left in the first half, when the team was down 14-7.

During the game, King completed 21 of 34 passes for 180 yards and threw two touchdown passes, one for 15 yards and another for 5 yards. He also contributed with a 5-yard rushing touchdown on the final play, sealing the win for the Panthers. The game was noted for its excitement, with the Cardinals accumulating 425 yards and the Panthers 378 yards.

Rookie Carson Beck started for Arizona, completing 15 of 19 passes for 188 yards and a touchdown before being replaced by Kedon Slovis, who went 9 of 10 for 106 yards and a touchdown.
