Heath Shaw and Adam Cooney Join 2027 Australian Survivor Cast
The cast for the 2027 season of Australian Survivor has been announced, featuring former AFL players Heath Shaw and Adam Cooney. This season will focus on rivalries, particularly highlighting the historic competition between Collingwood and Essendon, the teams both players represented during their careers.
Heath Shaw, who was drafted by Collingwood in 2003 as a father-son selection, played ten seasons with the club, participating in 173 games and contributing to their 2010 premiership victory. After a trade to Greater Western Sydney in 2013, he played an additional 152 games, totaling 325 appearances. Shaw is recognized as a dual All-Australian and a Kevin Sheedy medallist.
Adam Cooney, selected first overall in the same draft by the Western Bulldogs, is known for his speed and agility on the field. He won the Brownlow Medal in 2008, edging out notable players such as Simon Black and Gary Ablett. Cooney played 219 games for the Bulldogs and later joined Essendon, where he added 31 more games to his record. He has also participated in other reality TV shows, including I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! The rivalry between Shaw and Cooney is further intensified by Cooney's past remarks about Shaw.
