Heather McPhee Settles Lawsuit Against NFLPA

Former NFL Players Association general counsel Heather McPhee has reached a settlement in her wrongful discharge lawsuit against the union, although claims against other defendants are still pending. This settlement was confirmed through court filings submitted on Friday.

The lawsuit, which McPhee filed in December after being placed on leave, involved allegations against the NFLPA, its former executive director Lloyd Howell, general counsel Tom DePaso, and Players Inc. president Matt Curtin. McPhee's concerns included the union's decision to withhold information about a partial victory in a collusion grievance from its members.

While the specific terms of the settlement have not been disclosed, it is anticipated that the NFLPA's upcoming annual report will provide details regarding any payments made to resolve the litigation.
