Hockey India Removes Director General R.K. Srivastava from Position
Hockey India has removed Cdr. R.K. Srivastava from his role as Director General, effective immediately, following concerns over his repeated non-compliance with directives and accountability issues.
The decision was communicated through a legal notice from Hockey India president Dilip Tirkey, which stated that Srivastava must cease all authority and responsibilities pending further decisions. The notice cited instances such as Srivastava's unauthorized travel to recent World Cups and his unilateral decision to change the national team's jersey without proper consultation.
Srivastava has been given four weeks to respond with documentary evidence regarding the allegations. Further actions may be taken based on his response, in accordance with Hockey India's bye-laws.
