Honda Wins 2026 IndyCar Manufacturers' Championship
Honda and Honda Racing Corporation USA (HRC US) clinched the 2026 IndyCar Manufacturers' Championship during the Milwaukee Mile doubleheader weekend, achieving their eighth series title and 12th overall in American open-wheel racing.
This victory comes exactly 30 years after Honda's first American Open Wheel championship in 1996. The weekend also saw Alex Palou, driving the Honda-powered #10 Chip Ganassi Racing car, secure his fourth consecutive IndyCar drivers’ title.
Honda's dominance this season included 10 race wins and 13 pole positions across various track types. They excelled particularly on street circuits, winning all six street races and leading over 90 percent of the laps. The highlight of the year was at the Indianapolis 500, where Felix Rosenqvist achieved a historic victory. With one race left, Honda leads the Rookie of the Year standings.
