Yemen's Houthis have claimed responsibility for an attack on an Aramco oil facility in Saudi Arabia, escalating tensions in the region. The attack follows a series of assaults on Saudi infrastructure.

The Houthis from Yemen announced an attack on an Aramco oil facility in southwestern Saudi Arabia on Sunday, marking a continuation of their assaults on the kingdom. This incident also included an attack on a significant port along the Red Sea.

Yahya Saree, a military spokesperson for the Houthis, stated that a drone targeted the refinery in Jazan, claiming the action was a response to Saudi drones entering Yemeni airspace. The Saudi Energy Ministry confirmed a fire at the facility but reported no casualties and did not specify the cause.

In addition to the refinery attack, the Houthis targeted Mocha port, a key location for Yemen's internationally recognized government. An official indicated that missiles and drones were used in this assault, which threatens to escalate the ongoing civil conflict in Yemen.
