Hurricane Isaias Impacts College Football Schedule
Hurricane Isaias, which intensified into a Category 3 storm on Friday, is affecting college football schedules, particularly the game between Alabama and Georgia. Despite the storm's approach, Alabama has not changed its plans for the Saturday night matchup, while officials continue to monitor the situation.
The hurricane is expected to make landfall near Pensacola, Florida, bringing significant rainfall and the potential for tornadoes. As of Friday afternoon, the storm maintains maximum sustained winds of 120 mph.
Currently, the only game that has adjusted its kickoff time is the matchup between Rice and East Carolina, which will now start at 1 p.m. ET instead of 4 p.m. ET. Other games, including Bethune Cookman at Alabama A&M, are proceeding as scheduled despite weather warnings in the region.
