Ian Happ Supports Cubs' Decision on Playing Time Adjustment

Happ acknowledged the shift in his role during an interview, noting that he has struggled against lefties this season, with a batting average of .154 in 128 plate appearances. He emphasized the importance of team success over individual playing time, stating that the focus is on winning games.

The Cubs, currently second in the National League Central with a record of 70-50, have made adjustments to their lineup to enhance performance as they aim for a playoff spot. Manager Craig Counsell confirmed that while Happ will still face some left-handers, Taylor will take on a significant role against them, having shown strong performance against southpaws this season.
